John Chrysostom Dougherty III (b. May 3, 1915) is a Texas lawyer who is active in many philanthropic religious, civic, and legal organizations. One foot, two inches of correspondence, minutes, financial and legal documents, reports and printed material (1953-1978), arranged in three series, document the involvement of J. Chrys Dougherty in religious organizations and activities. The majority of the records document the Advanced Religious Study Foundation. The collection also includes records relating to the September 1957 United States Conference for the World Council of Churches Faith and Order Study on “The Nature of the Unity We Seek,” and material concerning the Christian Faith and Life Community in Austin, Texas.

John Chrysostom Dougherty III (b. May 3, 1915) is a Texas lawyer who is active in many philanthropic religious, civic, and legal organizations.
